Complete Aruba Hotel Map
This island-wide map shows most hotels and resorts in Aruba, from the high-rise towers on Palm Beach to boutique retreats near Baby Beach in the south. Use it to understand the geography of the island and compare travel distances between hotel zones and attractions like Arikok National Park, the California Lighthouse, and the cruise port.
Island-Wide Hotel Map
How to read this map: The vast majority of Aruba’s hotels cluster along the northwest coast. That’s the strip running from Oranjestad north through Eagle Beach and Palm Beach. The further north or south you go from that central strip, the more remote and boutique the options become.
Use this complete Aruba resort map to:
- Compare distances between hotel areas.
- Find properties near specific attractions.
- Identify boutique hotels and guesthouses in residential areas.
- Plan transportation needs based on your hotel’s location.
Palm Beach Hotels Map
Palm Beach is Aruba’s main resort corridor. It’s the place most people picture when they think of an Aruba vacation. It stretches for roughly two miles along the island’s northwest coast, lined with high-rise hotels, restaurants, beach bars, casinos, and water sports operators.
Map of Hotels on Palm Beach, Aruba
Why Is It Called the “High-Rise Area”?
The term “high-rise” is used in Aruba to describe the taller beachfront resorts concentrated along Palm Beach, most standing between 8 and 15+ stories. This distinguishes the area from the shorter, more intimate “low-rise” resorts further south on Eagle Beach. When locals or travel guides say “high-rise,” they mean Palm Beach.
What Palm Beach Is Like
Palm Beach is Aruba’s most developed and energetic area. The beach itself is a two-mile stretch of white sand with calm, protected water, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and water sports. But what really defines Palm Beach is everything surrounding the beach: dozens of restaurants and bars within walking distance, shopping plazas, nightclubs, and the constant buzz of a busy resort strip.
It’s busy… intentionally so. If you want to step outside your hotel and immediately have options for food, drinks, and activities without needing a car or taxi, Palm Beach is built for that. It’s also Aruba’s most family-friendly resort zone, with most of the major all-inclusive hotels, kids’ clubs, and calm water for small children concentrated here.
The tradeoff is crowds. Palm Beach is the most visited beach on the island, which means beach chairs fill up, restaurants get full, and the general atmosphere is more resort-town than remote paradise.

Reading the Palm Beach Hotel Map
- Northern end (near the Ritz-Carlton and Marriott): Closest to the California Lighthouse; slightly less walkable to central restaurants and shops but quieter on the strip
- Central Palm Beach: Best walkability to dining, shopping, nightlife, and water sports; the busiest and most social part of the strip
- Southern Palm Beach (near Holiday Inn): Transitions toward Eagle Beach; slightly quieter with a bit less foot traffic
Eagle Beach Hotels Map
Eagle Beach is the quieter, more beautiful alternative to Palm Beach, and many longtime Aruba visitors consider it the superior option. It’s consistently rated among the top beaches in the Caribbean, with wider, whiter sand, fewer crowds, and more laid-back.
Map of Hotels on Eagle Beach Aruba
Why Is It Called the “Low-Rise Area”?
The low-rise label refers to the building height of the resorts here, most are 2 to 4 stories tall at most, in contrast to the 8–15 story towers on Palm Beach. The result is a distinctly different feel: more intimate, less dense, and more in keeping with the quiet residential neighborhoods nearby.
What Eagle Beach Is Like
Eagle Beach consistently earns “best beach in the Caribbean” designations, and for good reason: it’s broader, less crowded, and often framed by Aruba’s iconic fofoti trees (the wind-bent divi-divi trees that are synonymous with the island’s imagery). Sunsets from Eagle Beach are extraordinary.
The resort options here tend toward boutique and condo-style properties rather than massive resorts. Service is more personal, the atmosphere is calmer, and the overall vibe is one of relaxation rather than entertainment-driven activity. It’s the preferred zone for couples, honeymooners, anniversary travelers, and anyone who puts beach quality above having a dozen restaurants within walking distance.
The main tradeoff: walkability is limited. Most restaurants and shops are a short taxi or car ride away rather than steps from your door. If you want everything on foot, Eagle Beach isn’t the right fit.

Reading the Map of Eagle Beach Hotels
- The beach itself is wide and accessible but many properties are across the street from the shoreline rather than directly on it. Zoom into the map to check the specific location of each hotel relative to the beach access points.
- Manchebo Beach merges seamlessly into Eagle Beach from the south. Both share the same beautiful stretch of sand, so properties on Manchebo Beach have the same quality beach experience.
- Eagle Beach is about 5–10 minutes by car from Palm Beach’s restaurants and nightlife.
Noord Hotels Map
Noord is an area many travelers overlook entirely, and that’s exactly what makes it interesting for the right type of visitor. It’s the residential neighborhood situated just inland from Palm Beach, and it offers a more local, quieter experience while still being just minutes from the beach by taxi or car.
Map of Hotels in Noord, Aruba
What Noord Is Like
Noord doesn’t have beachfront hotels in the traditional sense, but it has a growing number of small boutique hotels, guesthouses, and apartment-style accommodations that appeal to travelers who want:
- Lower prices than beachfront Palm Beach or Eagle Beach resorts
- A quieter, more residential stay away from the resort strip
- Easy access to Palm Beach (a short 5-10 minute taxi or bus ride)
- Proximity to local restaurants, including some of Aruba’s most beloved local restaurants that aren’t geared toward tourists
Noord is also where Tierra del Sol Golf Course and the California Lighthouse are located, making it a convenient base for anyone planning to spend time in the island’s northern tip.
Key Noord Hotel
- Ocean Z Boutique Hotel: Stylish boutique property in the Malmok Beach area; easy beach access
- Caribbean Palm Village Resort: Beautiful stay just 5 minutes from the beach
Oranjestad Hotels Map
Oranjestad is Aruba’s capital city, a colorful, Dutch-influenced urban hub with great shopping, historical sites, restaurants, and easy cruise port access. It’s not a beach destination in its own right, but it offers a different kind of Aruba stay.
Map of Hotels in Oranjestad, Aruba
What Oranjestad Is Like
Staying in Oranjestad puts you in the center of Aruba’s culture rather than its resort strip. You’re close to Fort Zoutman, the National Archaeological Museum, Main Street shopping, and the cruise terminal. It’s also where Queen Beatrix International Airport is located, making Oranjestad hotels convenient for very early or very late flights.
The primary appeal of Oranjestad for most visitors is either the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort, which provides access to the private Flamingo Beach on Renaissance Island, or budget-conscious travelers who prefer a more affordable, city-style hotel and plan to taxi or bus to the beaches daily.
Important: Oranjestad hotels are not on the beach. Palm Beach is about 15 minutes by taxi; Eagle Beach is about 10 minutes. Factor in daily transportation costs if you’re considering staying here.
Best Hotels in Oranjestad, Aruba
Properties on the Oranjestad hotel map include:
- Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort: Two towers: an adults-only Marina tower and family-friendly Ocean tower. The crown jewel is exclusive access to Flamingo Beach on Renaissance Island, a private island with pink flamingos walking the shore.
- Talk of the Town Hotel and Beach Club: City hotel with beach club access; good mid-range option
- Wonders Boutique Hotel: Intimate, historic Oranjestad property
- RH Boutique Hotel Aruba: Modern city accommodations
Beyond the Strip: Baby Beach, Savaneta, & the South
Aruba has a handful of resort options well outside the main hotel corridor, and they attract a very specific kind of traveler: one who’s been to Aruba before, wants something completely different, and is willing to be further from the main beach strip in exchange for a more remote, uncrowded experience.
Secrets Baby Beach Aruba (San Nicolas / Southeast)
The biggest news in Aruba’s hotel scene is the opening of Secrets Baby Beach Aruba in June 2025. This adults-only, all-inclusive resort from Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection is located on Baby Beach Bay at the island’s southeastern tip… as far from Palm Beach as you can get on the island.
The setting is unlike anything else in Aruba. It’s surrounded by calm, turquoise water, white coral sand, and the nearby town of San Nicolas (famous for its colorful street murals). The resort has 304 suites, three pools, multiple restaurants and bars, and a full spa.
This is not a resort for convenience seekers. You’re roughly 30–40 minutes from Palm Beach. But for travelers who want luxury, seclusion, and a genuinely different side of the island, it’s a compelling option. Read our full guide to Secrets Baby Beach Aruba.
Savaneta (Southern Coast)
Savaneta is a quiet fishing village on Aruba’s southern coast and the departure point for Sea Glass Island tours and home to a few smaller properties. New additions include Serene by the Sea, a 3-star boutique hotel with a garden, private beach area, and sea views. Savaneta appeals to travelers looking for a slow-paced, off-the-beaten-path Aruba experience.

Palm Beach vs. Eagle Beach: The Core Choice
For most visitors, the real decision is between Palm Beach and Eagle Beach. Here’s how to think about it:
Choose Palm Beach if…
You want to walk out your door and have options, restaurants, bars, water sports, nightlife, shopping, all within a short stroll. You’re traveling with family. It’s your first time in Aruba and you want maximum convenience. You like an energetic, resort-town atmosphere.
Choose Eagle Beach if…
The beach itself is your top priority. You want peace, quiet, and space. You’re on a honeymoon or anniversary trip. You prefer intimate boutique properties over massive resorts. You don’t mind a short taxi ride to restaurants and nightlife.
| Feature | Palm Beach | Eagle Beach |
|---|---|---|
| Beach quality | Excellent | Outstanding |
| Building height | High-rise (8–15+ floors) | Low-rise (2–4 floors) |
| Walkability | Excellent | Limited |

| Beach crowds | Busier | More spacious |

| Distance to each other | 5–10 min drive / 20-min walk along beach | — |
Tips for Using the Aruba Hotel Maps
1. Check exact beach proximity.
On Eagle Beach especially, some hotels are across the street from the sand rather than directly on it. Zoom in on the map to see the precise relationship between the hotel and beach access points before booking.
2. Consider wind direction.
Hotels on the northern end of Palm Beach (near the Ritz-Carlton and Marriott) tend to experience more of Aruba’s famous trade winds. This is wonderful for windsurfing but can make beach umbrella and lounging days a bit breezy.
3. Look at what’s nearby.
The maps show neighboring hotels and landmarks. This is useful for understanding how developed or quiet a particular section of beach feels, and whether the restaurants you want are within walking distance.
4. Factor in taxi costs for non-beach areas.
If you stay in Oranjestad or Noord, you’ll be taking taxis or buses to the beach daily. A round-trip taxi from Oranjestad to Palm Beach runs roughly $20–25 USD each way. That adds up across a week-long stay.
5. Book early for new hotels.
The St. Regis, JOIA by Iberostar, Secrets Baby Beach, and The Westerly at Hilton are all new and generating significant interest. If you want to stay at one of these properties, don’t wait — they fill up fast.
